First Holy Communion Style

Yesterday was Buddy’s First Holy Communion.

I still remember mine, even though it was some thirty odd years ago. I wore my school uniform, after the ceremony we went into the school hall and had sandwiches and crisps then back home.

Buddy’s was more like a mini wedding than a Communion!

Since the turn of the year we have been preparing and saving for this day.

Not being flush with money it has taken careful planning and preparation.

We went to Debenhams in the January Sales and picked up this gorgeous John Rocha suit for €60. The shirt is also by John Rocha.

The tie was bought from a local kids shop.

We all know that black shoes don’t go with Royal Blue suits! So after many tears, tantrums and persuasion (That was just from his mother!) Buddy was finally persuaded to go with these.

Nanny in America had sent a dress over for Little Miss OMG earlier in the year. Quite by coincidence the two of them were colour co-ordinated.

All in all we ended up with two handsome stylish kids for next to nothing.

What do you think? Would you buy a suit or just rent one for the day?
