Word of the Week 4

It’s been a while since I did a Word of the Week post. Eight months! To be honest, I’m not sure why I stopped writing them. They are back now and I’m aiming to make it a regular Wednesday feature.

So onto this week’s word.

These last two weeks we have enjoyed a good run of decent weather here in Ireland.  It never ceases to amaze me at just how much a bit of sun can change the mood.

Far from the children being grumpy they are loving every minute of it. The ability to go outside and play. Soccer, hurling, running and climbing.

I realise it’s not going to be the 100° + heat we are going to experience on our US trip in just 4 short weeks.

I for one have really enjoyed the sunny spells we are having. The front door is left open. I sit on my bench in the front garden watching the kids play and making sure Little Miss OMG doesn’t run into the road.

I hope they continue for a while!

Have you been  enjoying the sun? Or hiding indoors away from the heat?

  1. I was working for the whole of the lovely weather last week 😦 the kids got the pool out though. To be honest it’s probably a good thing I wasn’t around, it drives me nuts when they get the carpet soaking running in and out 😀
